Scheduling
Why bookings moved in September, how a reason now reaches the desk in time to offer the slot to someone else, and the arrangement that needs your reply.
Scheduling arrangements
Six arrangements govern how a booking moves. One is waiting for your approval.
| Arrangement | How it works | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Reason by 16:00 the day before | The reason and the permitted alternatives reach the location queue by 16:00 the day before the appointment. Rohan Bhattacharya decided this for all open exceptions. | Decided |
| Alternatives that may be offered | A later slot at the same location, a slot at another location, or a hold until the missing item arrives. The desk lists them with each exception and records the response. | Waiting on you |
| Freed slot | A cancelled or moved booking frees a slot. The desk offers it to the next person waiting before the end of that business day. | In use |
| Rebook window | A moved booking is rebooked within 48 hours. Anything older is reviewed with the director of operations. | In use |
| Late notice | A reason that reaches the desk on the day of the visit is logged as late notice. The slot counts as unused if it cannot be refilled. | In use |
| Clinical reasons | Never routed to the desk. They stay with the treating professionals, and no one at the desk chooses a booking on clinical grounds. | In force |

All 46 exceptions from September 1 to 21.
Booking exceptions by outcome
One square for each of the 46.
